Partnership Strategy for an Applications Software and Services Company

Faced with the challenge of developing a standard and effective sales process, this application software vendor worked with one of our PST partners to structure a comprehensive marketing plan to sell its product on a national level.   This plan resulted in a true vendor partnership, whereby vendor resources across the country were assigned to do level 1 sales activity to qualify prospects and coordinate overall sales process activity.  The software company also agreed to use vendor resources to do the implementations.  This strategy enabled them to remain focused on what they did best, i.e. developing software.   Their management was able to concentrate, without excessive distractions from sales activities, on client requirements, new product development and product enhancements, which ultimately strengthened their competitive position.
